Thought of the Week: Holocaustholocaust

The Holocaust illustrates the consequences of prejudice, racism and stereotyping on a society. It forces us to examine the responsibilities of citizenship and confront the powerful ramifications of indifference and inaction”.
Tim Holden

To me, the Holocaust stands alone as the most horrible human event in modern civilization”.
Robert Shapiro

That I survived the Holocaust and went on to love beautiful girls, to talk, to write, to have toast and tea and live my life - that is what is abnormal”.

Health and Social Join the NHS

Year 9 Health and Social Care students had the opportunity to attend an NHS Careers event. They gained a valuable insight into the thousands of careers on offer in the NHS. The event also allowed them to have a go at some of the more practical elements in the job roles using up to date training equipment, such has supporting the birth of a baby, intubating a child and removing staples from wounds.
