The week of Challenge pushed pupils out of their limits as they took on the elements…and won!

Pupils took to the snow, the air, the dirt, the water and the track to develop physical and mental skills.
On the Monday the group travelled to the Chill Factor in Manchester to participate in a ski lesson on the learner slopes before sledging, luging and donutting through the snow park.  Tuesday was a trip to Delamere Forest to participate in challenging mountain bike course; along narrow tracks, up and down steep ascents and descents and through brooks and rivers.  Swinging through the trees at Go Ape was also undertaken.  Suspended fifteen meters above the ground pupils took on suspension bridges, stepping stones and a 40-meter zip wire.

Wednesday and Thursday were trips out to Astbury Country Park and Fenton Fast Lane Karting.  Pupils donned the wet suits on the water to take part in canoeing, kayaking and raft building.  Mr Salt was the quickest on the track to complete the fastest lap but was pushed close by pupils Dan Keen and Niamh Smith.

On the final day we visited Kibblestone International Scout Camp.  In the final tests pupils participated in archery, air rifle shooting, tree climbing, crate stacking and Jacob’s ladder.
