Chesterton's Got Talent is taking place this half term.

So far two of the four heats have taken place. All the performers had previously auditioned for places in the competition and consequently the standard of performances in the heats was very good. There has been an exciting variety of different acts including singing, dance routines, playing musical instruments and even some martial arts.

The heats have taken place on Thursday lunchtimes with virtually the entire school coming to watch and support. After each performance the judges give their feedback and the winner of each heat will go through to the grand final to be held later in the term.

The winners of the first two heats were; Matthew Chau of Year 8 and Saskia Boardman of Year 7. Matthew played the flute and Saskia gave a stirring rendition of the song, 'Son of a Preacher Man'. Both of them impressed head judge, Miss K Owen, and other judges including Mr L Mackin, Mr D Maxted and Mrs J Rowley.
