The Senior Athletics squad spent the day at Northwood Stadium battling for points in the Newcastle Schools Competition on Thursday 11th April. The competition between schools is always tight and places in the Newcastle district squad are not easy to come by.
We are really proud to announce that 5 of our athletes have made it through to the district squad! The athletes will
represent the squad in the Staffordshire County Athletics Championships at Northwood Stadium on the 14th June.
The athletes are:
Jack McDonald (Year 10) – 400m
Courtney Munro (Year 10) – Javelin
Melissa Murray (Year 10) – 300m
Jacob Walton (Year 9) – 100m and Hurdles
Matthew Ray (Year 9) – High Jump
We are extremely proud of all the athletes that competed in the competition and we wish those five athletes the best of luck on the 14th June.
