Thursday 30th April saw the annual trip to Northwood for the Senior Athletics competition. This year we took a group of 27 pupils from years 9 and 10. All pupils competed extremely well considering the cold conditions along with rain and winds. Some notable performances include Jacob Walton who achieved 2nd place in both the hurdles event and long jump and a 4th position in the sprint. Matthew Ray competed in the high jump achieving a solid 2nd place, both boys will compete at the district competition in June.
Ryan Cooper had an excellent performance in the 1500m gaining a 4th position overall.
Megan Futter achieved a 5th place for the 300m race and Lucie Owen 8th place for shot putt.
All pupils showed an excellent team spirit and brilliant behaviour.
Well done to all those that competed.
