During lockdown, I have been impressed with the attitude and commitment of hundreds of our students, but within the maths department a few have stood out in terms of their desire to learn and engage. The department has been unbelievably busy setting online tasks, INSTAGRAM sessions and lessons, TEAMS lessons and other remote activities and so I am incredibly pleased how the vast majority have risen to the challenge. We as a department have recognised some students who have been quite simply ‘Outstanding’ and these 38 students have been awarded ‘Maths Praise Postcards’ along with 25 event logs.
