Our Curriculum Intent
In Years 7, 8 and 9, we focus on a skills-based curriculum. While students are introduced to GCSE-style questions and resources, our primary emphasis is on developing strong mathematical foundations. During these years, we operate three teaching strands based on ability. All strands are fully synchronised and follow the same learning journey, with clear differentiation built in to create bespoke curricula that meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
As students move into Years 10 and 11, the focus shifts towards the application of skills and problem solving. In Year 10, students follow one of two learning strands: Foundation or Higher. In Year 11, this is refined further into three strands: Foundation, Higher 7 and Higher, ensuring students are fully supported and challenged as they prepare for their GCSE examinations.
