The pupils and staff at Chesterton Community Sports College always support the annual Poppy Appeal and this year is no exception. Year 11 prefects have been visiting all the forms and selling poppies and poppy stickers over the last week and now a significant proportion of the school are wearing them.

Pupils study The World Wars in History and also war poetry in English so they have a good understanding of many of the issues connected with the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance Day.

Many pupils have family members in the forces and Remembrance Day is very important to them.
