A full and varied week was arranged for the group of years 7, 8 and 9 pupils as part of Creative Learning Week.

In school activities included Ready, Steady, Cook, cake tasting and cake pop making. A rag rug workshop was delivered one morning by volunteers from Nimble Fingers in which the pupils were taught how to make a rag rug brooch and learnt how to design and create a coaster mat using spider embroidery.

Various trips out of school included a factory tour around Emma Bridgewater Pottery in Hanley to see how their pottery is made. They then designed and painted their own plate to take home.

A visit to the Red House Glass Cone in Stourbridge was an exciting trip where the pupils watched a glass blowing demonstration, learnt about the history of the Glass Cone and had the opportunity to design and make their own glass coaster.

A trip to Cadbury World followed, where the pupils uncovered a world of chocolate delights! Liquid chocolate and free samples of chocolate bars ensured that everyone was happy.

The group had a great week making, eating and visiting!
