Miss Griffiths and Mr Routledge used the full school assembly on Monday 20th January to launch an exciting new opportunity for pupils - a ski trip to Italy.

skilaunchIn April 2015, the PE department will be taking a small group of pupils to Pila, in the Aosta Valley, Italy for a weeks’ skiing. The trip will be open to current year 7 to current year 10. The group will travel to Italy via executive coach, where they will have 4 hours of ski tuition each day including lunch on the mountain. The trip will include hire of skis, boots and poles for the week as well as an open access ski pass. In the evenings, there will be a full entertainment package including quiz nights, ice skating and in the final days, an awards evening.

Mr Routledge talked to the school about his previous experiences of skiing and then pupils watched a short video showing what to expect on a ski trip. Miss Griffiths explained the practical arrangements for the trip and how pupils can secure a place.

The trip has limited places and just a few remain now, so any other pupil wishing to go to Italy needs to bring in their £75 deposit as soon as possible. Further details and information letters are available from Miss Griffiths in the PE department.
